We’re Leslie and Geoff, partners in life and in exploration

Our journey started the way many of our travels still do today, a little unexpected, a little spontaneous, and rooted in saying YES!

We met in 2010 while crewing on competing sailboats in Newport, Rhode Island. Three months later, we were traveling together through Ireland and the United Kingdom, setting the tone for a life built around curiosity, movement, and shared experience.

Since then, we’ve explored coastlines, small towns, and open waters from the Caribbean to Canada, often choosing the slower road, the less obvious path, and the places that don’t always make the highlight reel.

Our Story: From Sailboats to a Life of Travel

Our journey began in 2010 in Newport, Rhode Island, where we met while crewing on competing sailboats.

Just three months later, we took our first trip together, traveling through Ireland and the United Kingdom. That experience shaped everything that followed.

Since then, we’ve explored:

  • The Caribbean islands
  • Coastal towns across the United States and Canada
  • Europe’s historic cities and hidden corners

What started as one spontaneous trip became a lifestyle centered around adventure travel, sailing, road trips, and slow exploration.

Meet Leslie | Sailor, Traveler, Ocean-Born Explorer

Leslie’s life began at sea.

Born in the Turks and Caicos Islands, she was raised aboard a sailboat built by her father and lived on the water until age eighteen. With no refrigeration, limited electricity, and reliance on solar and wind power, she developed a deep understanding of sustainable living and environmental responsibility from an early age.

Her experience includes:

  • Sailing throughout the Caribbean (Bahamas, Jamaica, Virgin Islands, and beyond)
  • Earning a US Coast Guard Captain’s License at nineteen
  • A career in the marine industry and global travel

Leslie brings a perspective rooted in:

  • Sustainability
  • Simplicity
  • A lifelong connection to the ocean

Meet Geoff | Navigator, Explorer, Photographer

Geoff grew up in the beautiful Ocean State with a strong foundation in service and community.

He began his career as a paramedic, developing the calm, problem-solving mindset that now shapes the way we travel.

After discovering a passion for sailing, he worked professionally in Newport and the Virgin Islands, building expertise in navigation, weather systems, and maritime life.

Geoff is the one:

  • Studying maps and finding hidden locations
  • Tracking weather patterns in real time
  • Exploring the history behind every destination
  • Capturing the beauty and essence of the places we visit

His curiosity turns every trip into a deeper, more meaningful experience.
